Lydia & Kael | Rocklea Farm Wedding Film

Lydia and Kael celebrated their vibrant countryside wedding at Rocklea Farm in Stonehaven, near Geelong, Victoria. Set across open grass fields and bathed in golden light, their day was joyful, energetic, and deeply meaningful. It made for the perfect setting for a documentary-style wedding film that captures both playfulness and heartfelt emotion.

The Venue

Located in Stonehaven just west of Geelong, Rocklea Farm is a relaxed, open-air wedding venue surrounded by rolling fields and country charm. Lydia and Kael exchanged their vows beneath the venue's white marquee before moving into an outdoor cocktail hour complete with a fire pit, food truck, and bar. As the sun set, the celebration flowed into the open barn reception space, glowing with fairy lights and high-energy celebration.

The Couple

The newlyweds are light-hearted, bubbly, and full of personality. Having met in Year 8, Lydia and Kael's relationship felt bound by destiny, carrying a deep sense of history and emotional closeness. Their connection feels effortless, grounded in friendship, laughter, and a genuine understanding of one another.

The Wedding

From start to finish, their wedding was upbeat and full of personality. The groomsmen kicked things off with a cheeky ring-forgetting prank during the ceremony, setting a playful tone that carried through the entire day. The speeches were  equally entertaining, filled with inside jokes, family stories, and plenty of laughter. One of my favourite moments was when we stepped away from the crowd for private vows. Lydia and Kael chose to share their words with each other quietly, creating an intimate pause before heading straight into a packed dance floor to celebrate their love for one another.

The Video

Lydia and Kael's wedding film was one of the first where I leaned into more expressive editing, experimenting with transitions and visual effects to heighten the motion of the story. I wanted the film to feel as fun and energetic as they are, while still giving space to the quieter, more intimate moments. By blending playful energy with private vows and sentimental speeches, the final wedding highlight film feels romantic, expressive, and full of personality, with an edge that reflects the couple perfectly.
