Candy and Harry celebrated their modern, artful wedding at Hariett Hubert Estate in Coldstream, within the Yarra Valley, Victoria. Set against vineyard views and contemporary architecture, their day was stylish, energetic, and full of personality, making it an ideal setting for a documentary-style wedding film that captures both atmosphere and emotion.

The Venue

Located in Coldstream in the Yarra Valley, Harriett Hubert Estate is a striking wedding venue known for its clean lines, vineyard surrounds, and refined aesthetic. The estate offered a seamless flow between ceremony and reception spaces, creating a polished yet relaxed environment that complemented Candy and Harry's modern vision.

The Couple

Candy and Harry are confident, expressive, and deeply connected. There was a natural ease between them throughout the day, paired with a shared sense of excitement that carried through every moment. Their energy was contagious, and it set the tone for a celebration that felt lively, intentional, and true to who they are.

The Wedding

With strong ties to the arts, Candy and Harry wanted their wedding to feel creative and a little different. One of the most striking elements of the day was a circular mirrored stage they stood on during the ceremony and later used again for their first dance. This unique detail became a beautiful visual feature, with reflections of the sky and surroundings creating an ever-changing backdrop. Their day was filled with fun, high-energy moments, from champagne pops and Chinese cheers to a sparkler exit that capped off the celebration with momentum and joy.

When creating Candy and Harry's wedding film, my goal was to reflect how the day truly felt, fun, energetic, and completely at home. I balanced moments of expressive, energetic editing when the music peaked with quieter storytelling sections that allowed the speeches and vows to breathe. Their vows were deeply heartfelt and emotional, so I leaned into a more dramatic, cinematic feel during these moments to honour the depth of their connection. One of their friends shared a poem during the ceremony, and its words resonated so strongly with the vows and speeches that I used it as a recurring narrative thread throughout the film, helping to tie the entire story together. Blending these elements with sweeping drone footage and candid reactions, the final wedding highlight film feels expressive, emotional, and true to the love they share.
