Suzie + Eric // Electric Romance
Suzie & Eric | Nathania Springs Wedding Film
‘Our video was fun, upbeat and a little bit crazy which we absolutely loved and much longer than I expected’
Suzie and Eric celebrated their bold, high-energy wedding at Nathania Springs in Monbulk, Melbourne, Victoria. Set amongst natural bushland and open outdoor spaces, their day was unapologetically alternative, deeply meaningful, and full of personality, making it the perfect fit for a documentary-style wedding film that captured both edge and emotion.
The Venue
Located in Monbulk on the outskirts of Melbourne, Nathania Springs is a relaxed outdoor venue surrounded by greenery and natural light. Its open layout allowed the day to unfold freely, creating space for both intimate moments and high-energy celebration. The natural setting paired beautifully with Suzie and Eric's non-traditional approach, grounding the day while letting their bold style shine.
The Couple
Suzie and Eric are confident, expressive, and fiercely devoted to their family. Their connection is rooted in love, loyalty, and shared values, and it was clear that their wedding was not only about celebrating each other, but also the family they have built together. There was a strong sense of purpose and intention behind every moment of the day.
The Wedding
Their wedding was fun, edgy, and filled with powerful personal meaning. From emotional, heartfelt moments like vows shared with their children and a necklace gifted to their daughter, to high-energy celebrations that reflected their punk-inspired style, the day struck a beautiful balance between tenderness and rebellion. The atmosphere was electric, with guests fully embracing the couple's bold vision and celebratory spirit.
The Video
Suzie wanted their wedding film to feel edgy and a little punky, so I leaned into a new editing style I had recently learned and fully committed to it. I created layered frames that blended together in an expressive, unconventional way, using bold transitions and speed ramps to shift between moments and introduce dramatic slow motion. While much of the film carries an upbeat, high-energy feel, their speeches were deeply emotional and full of love. I chose to end the film on a more dramatic note, slowing things down to a rock ballad that allowed those heartfelt words to land with impact. The resulting wedding highlight film feels powerful, expressive, and true to both the intensity and tenderness of their day.
